Alright so here are some of the roughs I’ve mocked up so far. No color yet. Just looking at shapes so far.
Wordmark #1

So for this word mark I started with Eurostile because it conveys a modern feel that fits my companies image, then I played with the shape of the W and M to interlock and create some arrow shapes to communicate the interaction between new entrepreneurs and experienced mentors that is is a key component of my organizations activity.
Word Mark #2

So This idea was trying to combine some of the classic dollar bill flourishes and ornaments with a hipper typeface and unique spelling to create a welcoming atmosphere to attract people who have not considered entrepreneurship. I like the non-standard spelling, but the rest of it just isn’t coming together yet. I feel like there could be somthing here though.
Symbol #1

I created this abstracted dollar sign with some strong curves to create a sense of motion and energy. Right now I think the shape is pretty strong, but it feels too simple/obvious.
Symbol#2

Hooray for visual metaphors. Here I transformed the tie into a path too success while the curved shape gives it a strong sense of movement and energy. This symbol communicates a lot of the ideas I want my organization to embody, but I’m not sure the tie image is going to work for New Money. I tried to put a fresh spin on it with the strong curves, but I’m not sure its enough. Ties might just be too much of an old school business artifact to work for an organization like New Money.
Symbol#3

This is the last symbol I made. It got the least attention, but I like it the most so far. The shape of the n and the m interlock to create a strong yet simple symbol that contains the shape of a dollar sign in the negative space. The idea of interaction creating prosperity is exactly what New Money is about.
I am definitely going to keep pushing this one and see how it develops.
go go progress.

Nice to see a lot of variety in this round! My suggestion would be to pursue W#2 and S#3. The wordmark is visually interesting, although not unified, particularly in terms of the quality of the type and the style of the flourishes. Somehow they need to be ‘married’; maybe you can take some qualities of the tie symbol and work that into the flourishes… As for the symbol, it immediately drew associations of a twisted or refined Enron (appropriate!) but it wasn’t immediately apparent as to the N / M / $. I don’t think that needs to be dumbed down, but it will benefit from being further refined. Good directions to follow.
(Since your new logos aren’t posted yet, I’ll refer to them as #1 and #2– feel free to move my comment later)
In general, I sense that you understand that #1 is working better and should be furthered as your final logo design. You need to keep exploring colors (they look a bit sickly) as well as placement of the logo with your wordmark. You may allow for flexibility of placement within your complete identity, but still a better solution needs to be presented for your final logo design. I’m also inclined to say that your wordmark needs more visual separation from the symbol– your symbol is so strong, but it’s clumping too much with your wordmark and not getting the attention it deserves. Color/size/placement could solve this, but also opening up the letterforms with a stroke and no fill or filling them with thin angled lines (mimicking the angles of the symbol) are some options to explore.
